Gary is a Director at Byrne Consultants with more than 30 years’ experience across state and local government, delivering and overseeing a wide range of engineering and infrastructure projects. He has led multi-disciplinary teams across planning, design, construction, and asset management, applying a practical, solutions-focused approach to achieve strong outcomes for clients.

In his leadership role, Gary supports the effective management of risk, quality, and compliance across the business, contributing to sound governance and consistent delivery. He provides guidance on systems, processes, and standards that underpin project delivery, safety, and environmental performance, and supports continuous improvement across the organisation.

Gary also plays an important role in developing Byrne’s hydraulics capability, mentoring engineers, strengthening technical standards, and supporting succession planning to ensure long-term capability and resilience within the team.
