Simon brings nearly four decades of distinguished experience in civil engineering, underpinned by a career that spans the full spectrum of planning, design and construction support services. His expertise extends from high-level planning and concept development through to detailed design, delivery, and management of major though to minor infrastructure projects.

Simon is the Managing Director of Byrne Consultants, and he draws on a rich professional history that includes nine years in the road design division at the Department of Transport and Works, five years as Director of CIVCADD, and five years as Lead Civil Design Draftsman with Sinclair Knight Merz. This diverse background has equipped him with deep technical capability and a refined understanding of project delivery at every scale.

Simon maintains strong and collaborative relationships with key industry stakeholders and service authorities. These relationships support smooth project coordination and help secure timely approvals.
