Concept development followed by detailed design of the Palmerston Boulevard reconstruction. The project required the removal of two large multi lane roundabouts, signalising the Chung Wah intersection, regrading and reconstruction of the carriage way and verges to develop an environment suitable for an enhanced inner city experience, conducive to alfresco dinning, accessing the Goyder Square and focused on pedestrian accessibility within the CBD.
A notable feature of this design was the need to match into existing buildings and facilities while maintaining disabled access throughout the boulevard. The project required relocating and protection of many services and the reconstruction and upgrading of the stormwater drainage to suit the new design levels.
